Currently, the utility has 2 GW of secured projects that are planned to be installed during that period solely in the US.
When it comes to solar power alone, EDP expects to reach 1.6 GW of installed PV by 2022, taking into consideration its already deployed plants and the 1.3 GW of contracted projects, it said.
