EDP issues EUR-600m green bond

October 15 (Renewables  Now) - Energias de Portugal SA (ELI:EDP) announced last week it has issued EUR 600 million of debt instruments (USD 693.88m) through EDP Finance BV.

Maturing in October 2025 with a coupon of 1.875%, corresponding to a yield of 1.959%, the issuance is made under EDP and EDP Finance BV’s Programme for the Issuance of Debt Instruments (MTN).

The company is applying for the notes to be admitted to trading on Euronext Dublin.

According to EDP, the funds gathered will be used to finance or refinance, in whole or in part, the company's wind and solar assets portfolio, as set out in EDP’s Green Bond Framework.
