EDF Renewable starts building 6-WMp solar park in Massachusetts
Oct 22, 2013 - EDF Renewable Energy, former enXco, said on Monday it had initiated construction on a 5.96-MWp solar plant in the state of Massachusetts.
The company also completed a membership interest purchase and sale agreement (MIPSA) on the project with US advisory services provider Sage Stone LLC.
EDF Renewables, a unit of French green energy company EDF Energies Nouvelles (EN), will develop, own and operate the Lepomis ground-mounted solar system in Plymouth, Massachusetts. M+W US Inc will be in charge of the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) activities.
The photovoltaic (PV) installation is expected to kick off commercial operations in the spring of 2014. Once completed, its output will be sold to the town of Wareham under a long-term power purchase agreement (PPA) as part of Massachusetts’ virtual net metering credits scheme.
