Dec 9, 2014 - EDF Renewable Services said yesterday it had clinched operation and maintenance (O&M) deals for 454 MW of wind and 134 MWp of solar parks in Canada this year.
The company, part of French group EDF Energies Nouvelles, has added 27 individual projects in Quebec and Ontario to its Canadian portfolio through the orders, which represent a 52% increase in its contracted projects in the North American country.
EDF Renewable Services provides customised monitoring, engineering support, SCADA solutions, balance-of-plant services and others. The company operates more than 8.5 GW of wind, solar and biomass facilities in the US, Canada and Mexico, it said.
In October, EDF said it will provide balance of plant (BOP) services for the 200-MW Mesquite Creek wind project in the US state of Texas. The plant is expected to start commercial operations in the second quarter of 2015.
