Donauer Solartechnik to install 1 MW hybrid PV system in Namibia

Jul 1, 2013 - German Donauer Solartechnik Vertriebs GmbH said Monday it had won an order to install a 1 MW hybrid photovoltaic (PV) system on the rooftop of a brewery in Namibia.

The contract was awarded by Namibia Breweries Ltd, which aims to reduce its energy costs by using the new system.

Donauer Solartechnik, which specialises in the integration of PV systems into existing diesel networks, will connect the new plant to Namibia's power grid through a diesel generator.

Namibian solar firm O&L Energy, part of the Ohlthaver & List Group, will be developer of the project.
