Desa tries to speed up wind power projects - report
Oct 7, 2011 - Brazilian green energy company Dobreve Energia (Desa) is working on speeding up the completion of some of its main wind power projects in the country, CEO Carlos Brandao said in an interview with Agencia CanalEnergia.
The firm intends to put on stream the wind farm Morro dos Ventos, in the northeastern Rio Grande do Norte state, in March 2012, while the project Santo Uriel is now seen to be completed in December 2013, instead of the initially planned July 2014.
Eurus is another wind farm that Desa seeks to finish in 2013.
It is not likely Desa to fail in delivering the projects ahead of schedule, according to Brandao
Apart from the new timetable for the ongoing projects, the company is also analysing investments in new wind energy units, with a 1,500 MW capacity, in Bahia state, northeastern Brazil.
