Denmark opens tender for sub-1-MW solar projects

The Danish Energy Agency (DEA) last week said it is seeking bids in a photovoltaic (PV) tender expected to support about 35 MW of projects of below 1 MW.

The scheme, with a budget of DKK 107 million (USD 16.8m/EUR 14.3m), is the first of two tenders scheduled for the autumn of 2018. In the second, expected to be announced soon, both wind and PV projects will be able to participate.

The deadline for bids for the current tender is November 1. A requirement for the projects is not to be connected to the grid in a consumer installation. The projects should also be at a late development stage and connect to the grid within two years from signing the contract. A bid cap has been set at DKK 0.15 per kWh.
