September 26 (Renewables Now) - German renewable and conventional generation company De Raj Group AG (ETR:DRJ) has entered into an agreement with renewables developer STC Energy to build six solar parks in Ukraine for a total capacity of about 88.4 MW.

The plants that are subject to the deal will be constructed across the Kiev region and will supply power to state company Energorynok.

De Raj’s CEO Vaidyanathan Nateshan stated that the number of solar projects in Ukraine will continue to grow in general thanks to the fixed rate of the local green tariff, which allows for a relatively fast return on investment.

The company noted it is also holding talks about renewable energy projects in Hungary, India and South East Asia.
