May 23 (Renewables Now) - Connecticut-based financial services company Crescendo Capital Partners LLC said today it has closed its third infrastructure investment fund, with plans to back alternative energy assets.

The new fund will continue to invest in opportunities within cellular, such as purchasing cell tower and cellular leases, but will also buy alternative energy generation facilities including solar fields and wind turbines, according to the announcement.

Crescendo has received both equity capital and a dedicated acquisition credit line as part of the latest funding, it said, without mentioning the exact size of the fund.

“All acquisitions are internally funded as we act as a principal for our own account,” commented president and CEO Ken Saverin.
