Sep 9, 2011 - Brazilian sugar and ethanol producer Cosan (SAO:CSAN3) republished yesterday its figures for the first quarter of crop year 2011/2012, correcting upwards the earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) of Raizen Energia and consequently its consolidated EBITDA.
Cosan's consolidated EBITDA was revised to BRL 3.817 billion (USD 2.273bn/EUR 1.655bn), from BRL 3.755 billion, for the three months from April to June 2011.
The company's adjusted EBITDA, which excludes the effects from the set-up of Raizen, a joint venture wth Royal Dutch Shell (LON:RDSA, AMS:RDSA), was reviewed to BRL 502.4 million from the previous BRL 439.9 million.
The figure for Raizen's EBITDA was changed to BRL 411.3 million from BRL 321.2 million earlier.
