In our article dated Oct 12, 2010 and headlined "REC Silicon sets up two new factories in USA" please read in the second paragraph REC Silicon will add 10,500 metric tonnes of polysilicon capacity by the end of 2010 instead of "reach 10,500 metric tonnes by the end of 2010".
A corrected version follows:
(ADPnews) - Oct 12, 2010 - Norwegian photovoltaic (PV) firm Renewable Energy Corporation ASA (OSL:REC), or REC, said that its US subsidiary, REC Silicon, yesterday cut the ribbon on two new silicon production facilities in Washington, USA -- Silicon III and Silicon IV.
The two new facilities in the US will add 10,500 metric tonnes of polysilicon capacity by the end of 2010, the firm said. REC Silicon poured USD 1.7 billion (EUR 1.2bn) in its expansion.
Furthermore, the setting up of the two plants created 800 temporary jobs during construction works and 1,875 contract jobs.
