Cool or Cosy buys Australian solar modules maker Tindo

Australian insulation company Cool or Cosy has taken over the country’s only solar modules manufacturer -- Tindo Solar, local media report.

Cool or Cosy’s owner and manager Glenn Morelli told The Advertiser that the company now plans to undertake an expansion at Tindo Solar’s Mawson Lakes factory, creating at least 10 job positions and increasing manufacturing capacity substantially.

In a separate interview with RenewEconomy, Morelli said that he plans to combine the newly-acquired business with Cool or Cosy’s existing rooftop solar installation firm Solar Rental Company.

Given that his company also provides battery storage solutions, Morelli is also interested in taking part in the South Australian government’s plan for a 100-MW battery.

The reports did not mention how much Cool or Cosy has paid for Tindo Solar.
