The phase II will bring new 50 MW to the already operational 48.3-MW Los Guzmancito wind farm in Puerto Plata province. The first phase has been online since late 2019.
The Los Guzmancito II project, with its new 13 turbines, will involve an investment of USD 128 million (EUR 108.7m), the president’s office said.
The definitive concession to run the second-phase wind farm was granted to Poseidon Energia Renovable SA, a firm that forms part of the Grupo Energetico 23 consortium involved in the first Los Guzmancito.
