Conergy unit Mounting Systems optimistic for future - report
Jul 12, 2103 - Brandenburg-based Mounting Systems is optimistic for its future operations despite the insolvency of its parent, German solar power company Conergy AG (ETR:CGYK).
The unit, with 220 employees, has a full order book, chief Stefan Spork told news agency DPA. Spork is confident that the manufacturers of fastening systems for photovoltaic and solar-thermal power plants, like Mounting Systems, have good prospects.
There are investors interested to buy into the unit and talks are being held with the insolvency administrator, Spork said.
Spork is optimistic that a solution for the unit will be found soon.
After a long struggle to restructure liabilities, Conergy filed for insolvency last Friday, affecting some 800 of its 1,000 employees.
