Conduit Capital launches construction of 22-MW Mexican wind farm
Aug 1, 2012 - US private equity investment firm Conduit Capital Partners LLC today said construction had started on a 22-MW wind farm in the northern Mexican municipality of Santa Catarina.
Conduit Capital, which focuses on energy infrastructure in Latin America and the Caribbean, acquired the Eolica Santa Catarina project in 2010 via its Latin Power III Fund, together with long-term partner Mexican company Comexhidro SA de CV. The project is managed by an affiliate of Comexhidro.
The wind farm will use General Electric Co (NYSE:GE) turbines and sell electricity to municipalities around the city of Monterrey under long-term power purchase agreements.
