Colored Solar's panels get California Energy Commission accreditation

Aug 6, 2012 - Colored Solar today said its Stylish Solar Panels had achieved accreditation from the California Energy Commission (CEC), which makes the products eligible for government rebates and incentives.

The Ventura, California-based company also said that as the panels had more than 95% domestic content, they were suitable for projects backed by the Buy American scheme, the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) and the Export-Import Bank.

Colored Solar's line of Stylish Solar Panels, which the company says have efficiency of more than 16%, received CEC listing soon after they were granted ETL listing to the UL 1703 standard for safety of flat-plate photovoltaic (PV) modules and panels.
