Swiss diversified group COFRA Holding AG announced last week it has acquired Dutch solar developer Sunrock Investments for an undisclosed sum.
Established in 2012, Sunrock invests in, develops and owns large-scale solar power systems in the Netherlands, supporting commercial real estate owners, tenants, public bodies and other clients. While having a strong position in the commercial rooftop solar sector, the company also implements on-land and floating projects.
“The acquisition of Sunrock is part of COFRA’s broader portfolio diversification strategy, which will see us investing and growing businesses contributing to sustainable development,” said CEO Boudewijn Beerkens.
Following the acquisition, Sunrock’s CEO Johannes Duijzer will remain with the company alongside the existing management team.
Roland Berger, PwC and De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek advised COFRA, while ING Corporate Finance and Vriman M&A Lawyers consulted Sunrock.
