Solar energy company Clenergy (Xiamen) Technology Co (SHA:603628) said Tuesday it has won the right to build 134 MW of solar power plants in Germany in the latest government tender.
The company’s projects will be receiving EUR 0.0489 (USD 0.058) per kWh once operational. Pre-planning for construction of the photovoltaic (PV) projects in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern has been initiated, Clenergy said.
The solar auction targeted 200 MW and chose winners with a combined capacity of 222 MW. The lowest successful bid was EUR 0.0429/kWh, while the highest reached EUR 0.0506/kWh.
Clenergy participated through its unit MES Solar XXXII GmbH & CO. KG and won roughly 60% of the total auction awards. It said it had acquired the 134 MW of projects from a “well-known German developer” before the auction. Completion of the power plants is expected through 2018.
