Vattenfall, Preem to study use of offshore wind-based H2 in refining
Jun 27, 2022 17:41 CESTNovember 18 (Renewables Now) - Clean energy investment platform CleanCapital has bought from EDF Renewables two operating solar power plants in Massachusetts with a combined capacity of 11.9 MW, it was announced on Thursday.
The solar parks in question were built in 2014 and currently supply electricity to the Town of Billerica and the Town of Wareham. K&L Gates acted as buyer’s counsel on the transaction, the value of which was not disclosed.
“CleanCapital has now acquired more than 50 MW of solar in Massachusetts, a reflection of that state’s forward-thinking approach to clean energy policy,” commented Julia Bell, chief commercial officer for CleanCapital.
To date, CleanCapital has executed over USD 880 million (EUR 776m) worth of acquisitions. It has acquired or financed over 160 projects totalling 250 MW in 19 states, according to the statement.
