Clean Power Finance wins USD-3m DoE grant to develop software to cut solar permit costs
Sep 16, 2011 - US Clean Power Finance Inc (CPF) yesterday said it had received a USD-3-million (EUR 2.2m) funding from the US Department of Energy (DoE) to develop a software to reduce permit costs for solar projects in the USA.
The solar software and other solutions providing company has to develop software and a database to increase the transparency, speed up the solar permit process and reduce compliance costs.
With the software applications it will be easy to submit online applications and check if a system meets the requirements for a permit, Clean Power Finance said.
The award is part of the DoE's SunShot initiative that aims to cut solar energy costs by 75% by the end of the decade.
