December 2 (Renewables Now) - Financial holding company CIT Group Inc (NYSE:CIT) said today that its Power and Energy business has led the refinancing of a USD-69-million (EUR 61m) solar portfolio owned by Strata Clean Energy LLC.

The portfolio in question includes 21 operational solar power plants in Strata’s home state of North Carolina with a combined capacity surpassing 130 MW. All assets have off-take contracts in place.

In January, CIT announced it had led a USD-69-million financing for a US solar power portfolio owned by Strata Solar LLC. That bundle was said to include 23 plants.
