Chinese Yingli Green answers to Solarworld's accusations in USA
Oct 24, 2011 - Following a complaint filed by the US unit of German Solarworld (ETR:SWV) against Chinese solar companies, Chinese Yingli Green Energy Holding Co Ltd (NYSE:YGE) announced on Friday it had been operating in line with the highest standard of fair international trade practices.
Yingli Green also said that it is confident in its position and commitment to the US market and intends to mount a vigorous defense against the accusations launched by Solarworld in the USA.
Last week, the US subsidiary of German photovoltaic (PV) group Solarworld, representing a coalition of seven US solar cells and panels manufacturers, submitted a complaint with the US Department of Commerce and International Trade Commission against cheap imports from China.
According to Solarworld, thanks to support form the state, China's solar industry is illegally dumping the American market by importing subsidised solar cells and panels.
