Chinese Yingli completes solar facility for the New York Jets
(ADPnews) - Sep 28, 2010 - Chinese solar energy firm Yingli Green Energy Holding Co Ltd (NYSE:YGE) said today it has completed a solar power facility at the training centre and the headquarters of the New York Jets team in Florham Park, New Jersey.
The installation consists of 3,000 Yingli solar panels and is to produce 750,000 kWh per year. It will scale down carbon dioxide emissions by 540 tonnes annually, or as much as 100 cars would generate for the period. In addition, the project will annually save the team thousands of dollar from electricity bills, under a long-term power purchase agreement with the system's owner -- Syncarpha Capital.
Work on the installation started in June. Sundurance Energy LLC was responsible for the project's design and construction, while Evolution Energies LLC was the project developer.
