Chinese Sinovel to supply wind turbines to Desenvix

Sep 20, 2011 - Chinese wind turbine maker Sinovel Wind Group (SHA:601558) yesterday said it had inked a wind power generators' supply agreement with Brazil's renewable energy company Desenvix, an arm of local engineering company ENGEVIX.

Under the deal, Sinovel will provide 23 wind turbines of 1.5 MW each, to be installed in the Barra dos Coqueiros wind park, located in the northeastern Sergipe state.

The delivery of the equipment is scheduled to start in December and the wind park is expected to start operations in July 2012.

The 34.5 MW facility commercialised 10 MW average megawatts (MWa) at a price of BRL 152 (USD 84.56/EUR 61.83) per MWh at Brazil's first wind energy auction in December 2009.
