Chinese GCL-Poly lands USD-600m supply deal in India

(ADPnews) - Nov 2, 2010 - Chinese silicon wafer maker GCL-Poly Energy Holdings Ltd (HKG:3800) said it has won a USD-600-million (EUR 431.8m) wafer supply deal from Indian solar-cell maker Indosolar Energy (BOM:533257).

Under the agreement, GCL-Poly will deliver 209 million silicon wafers over the next four years.

Indosolar, which debuted on the Bombay stock exchange in September, plans to boost its production capacity from the current 200 MW a year to 400 MW in 2011 and 600 MW in 2012.
