November 13 (Renewables Now) - China's Jiangsu Seraphim Solar System Co Ltd announced today it has secured a solar module supply deal for 80 MW of photovoltaic (PV) projects in Vietnam.

Specifically, the Chinese company will deliver its equipment to the 30-MW BMT Solar Farm Project, to be constructed in Dak Lak Province, and the 50-MW KH Solar Farm Project in Khanh Hoa Province. Both plants should be commissioned by late April 2019.

The PV farms, owned by a joint venture between AMI Renewables of Vietnam and AC Energy of the Philippines, will be constructed by Malaysia-based engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor ERS Energy Sdn Bhd.

These are Seraphim's first projects in Vietnam and, due to the country currently having the largest PV market in Southeast Asia, more are forthcoming, the firm's general manager Polaris Li added.
