Weekly renewables M&A round-up (May 23-27)
May 27, 2022 17:26 CESTDecember 21 (SeeNews) - China Singyes Solar Technologies Holdings Ltd (HKG:0750) said Wednesday it has emerged as the winner in a tender for the deployment of 100 MW of photovoltaic (PV) capacity in Uzbekistan.
The company was awarded a USD-147-million (EUR 141.6m) design, build and operate contract for the project by state-owned company Uzbekenergo. The latter is the investor of the solar scheme, which is mainly financed by the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
The PV complex will be located in Samarkand province, according to the statement. It reinforces Singyes Solar’s strategy to follow the “One-Belt-One-Road” initiative of the Chinese government, the firm said.
Singyes Solar makes conventional curtain walls and building integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) systems and also sells BIPV components, solar thermal collectors and other products.
