(ADPnews) - Sep 17, 2010 - China Singyes Solar Technologies Holdings Ltd (HKG:0750) reported on Friday a net profit of CNY 59.5 million (USD 8.9m/EUR 6.7m) for the first half of 2010, up from CNY 53.2 million a year earlier.
The renewable energy system integrator and building contractor said it will not distribute any interim dividend. In the first half of 2009 it handed out CNY 0.02 a share.
Pretax profit grew to CNY 77.8 million from CNY 63.5 million.
The company saw its revenue rise by CNY 185.5 million to CNY 688.5 million, as both the conventional curtain wall and the building integrated photovoltaics (BIPV) operations brought higher revenues.
The BIPV business generated 21.5% of total sales or CNY 148.3 million, up 47.7% year-on-year, mainly on the back of improved demand. Revenues from conventional curtain wall business reached CNY 389.8 million, compared to CNY 359.7 million a year before.
To date, China Singyes Solar has orders for some CNY 1 billion, of which CNY 400 million are for solar power projects.
