China Goldwind to build Ecuador's Villonaco wind farm

Aug 17, 2011 - Chinese turbine maker Goldwind (HKG:2208) will build Ecuador's Villonaco wind farm for USD 34 million (EUR 23.6m) under a contract with Ecuador's state power corporation Celec.
The construction will start next month and will be completed in 2012.
The wind farm will be located in the southern Loja province, at 2,700 m (8,858 ft) above sea level, and will supply the equivalent of 15 MW to the national power network. The electricity will be sold at a price of USD 0.08 per KWh in the first ten years until the investment is amortised.
