Chile's Bosques de Chiloe plans USD 100m wind farm
(ADPnews) - Oct 29, 2010 - Chilean firm Bosques de Chiloe SA plans to build a USD 100 million (EUR 72.3m) wind farm in Chile's southern Los Lagos region, according to the environmental impact study the company submitted on Wednesday.
The wind farm, to be called San Pedro, will be built in the Dalcahue municipality, in Chiloe province, with 20 turbines of 1.8 MW each.
The company projects to start the construction works in the first half of 2011. The construction and tests are estimated to take 16 months and one month, respectively, while the start of commercial production is scheduled for October 2012.
