Chaori Solar to supply SAAM with 100 MW of solar modules
Nov 19, 2012 - Chinese solar cell maker Chaori Solar Energy Science & Technology (SHE:002506) on Friday said it had agreed to supply 100 MW of solar modules to domestic firm Shanghai Automotive Assets Management Co Ltd (SAAM).
Under the agreement, Chaori Solar will deliver the modules for three demonstration projects, Chinese news agency Sinocast reported today. The projects include two 25-MW and one 50-MW solar park at the Lingang, Nanjing and Yantai production and supporting bases of one of China's auto giants -- SAIC Group, former Shanghai Automotive Industry Corp and a parent company of SAAM, according to the report.
Last week, Chaori Solar announced an agreement with Brazilian S4 Clean Energy Projects Esolucoes Sustentatives, under which the Chinese firm will be the exclusive photovoltaic (PV) module supplier for 272 MW of solar projects in Brazil.
