Changjiang & Jinggong buys equipment for 60 MW of solar capacity

Dec 15, 2014 - Chinese engineering and construction firm Changjiang & Jinggong Steel Building (Group) Co Ltd (SHA:600496) said Friday it has placed a CNY-270-million (USD 43.6m/EUR 35m) solar equipment order for a 60-MW project.
The company's unit Shanghai Green Building Solar Co Ltd serves as engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor for the photovoltaic (PV) plant. It has entered into a product purchase agreement with Zhejiang JingGong Energy Technology Group Co Ltd, which will supply modules, inverters and other equipment needed for the project by June 30, 2015.
JingGong Energy is a joint venture in which Changjiang & Jinggong Steel holds 45%.
Changjiang & Jinggong Steel Building explained that solar power generation, and especially distributed generation, is becoming more attractive to investors thanks to the Chinese government’s different incentive programmes.
