HIF, Enel Green Power file EIS for 325-MW wind farm part of e-fuels project in Chile
Aug 05, 2022 11:12 CESTAugust 3 (Renewables Now) - Spanish oil and gas company Cepsa is teaming up with US-based PEM electrolysers maker Ohmium to develop green hydrogen projects in Portugal and Spain.
Under the partnership that was jointly announced on Tuesday, the companies will seek to create a green hydrogen platform capable of delivering up to 300 MW of installed hydrogen production capacity to Cepsa. At first, the duo will focus on the development and construction of small-scale projects as well as on green hydrogen research and development (R&D) initiatives.
The partners noted that this agreement marks the Spanish company's first green hydrogen project, which is an important milestone in its 2030 Positive Motion strategy. Cepsa recently unveiled its goal to develop 7 GW of renewable energy by 2030, including 2 GW for green hydrogen production.
