UK energy services company Centrica PLC (LON:CNA) on Monday said it has partnered up with renewables developer Push Energy on the development of solar farm projects in the UK.
Centrica Business Solutions and Push have signed a framework agreement, under which they will work to progress projects from site identification to commercial operation. Centrica will also employ Push to provide turnkey engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services for solar parks developed through the framework agreement. Push Energy has a track record of delivering 350 MW of projects across grid-scale and rooftop solar, according to the announcement.
The deal is part of Centrica Energy Assets’ goal to create a 900-MW portfolio of Centrica-owned solar and battery projects by 2026.
The company aims to achieve net zero by 2045 and for its customers by 2050.
