Cenergy to install 864-kW PV system for ShoEi Foods

(SeeNews) - Jun 19, 2013 - US commercial solar systems integrator Cenergy Power on Tuesday said it had won a contract to build a 864-kW solar facility for the US unit of Japanese food producer ShoEi Foods Corp (TYO:8079).

The installation will generate electricity for ShoEi Foods USA' s walnut processing factory in Marysville, California, supplying more than 90% of its energy demand.

The photovoltaic (PV) plant will cover an area of about 3 acres (1.2 ha) and is estimated to produce 1.2 million kWh of power a year.

ShoEi Foods USA will be able to return its investment on the project in four years, it noted.
