October 12 (Renewables Now) - CCE Solar Invest GmbH, the Austria-based joint venture (JV) of energy investors CCE Group and Enernovum, has obtained financing to develop 600 MW of solar PV projects in Italy.

Austrian bank Kommunalkredit Austria AG extended a three-year short-term loan to help the JV bankroll the permitting process for 14 PV projects in the Lazio, Tuscany and Apulia regions, the lender’s advisor Watson Farley & Williams (WFW) said on Monday.

More specifically, CCE Solar Invest will use the funds to obtain authorisation and pursue the relevant authorisation procedures to enable the portfolio projects reach the ready-to-build status by the second quarter of 2022, WFW said.

The size of the loan was not disclosed.

CCE Solar Invest is focused on the development, realisation, financing and management of solar project with a total output of over one gigawatt worldwide, added WFW. The JV was advised by global law firm Dentons.
