Hitachi Energy, Petrofac to partner on offshore wind integration
Jun 28, 2022 16:51 CESTMay 19 (Renewables Now) - Catamaran Renewables, a joint venture between investment firm Captona and South Jersey Industries (NYSE:SJI), has acquired a 5.66-MW solar park with 5.2 MWh of energy storage in Massachusetts.
Specifically, the JV has bought the facility in Agawam from Consolidated Edison Solutions Inc for an undisclosed amount. The plant has qualified for the Massachusetts SMART tariff-based incentive programme.
With this purchase, Catamaran adds storage to its portfolio of solar and fuel cell assets. The transaction represents the company’s fourth acquisition, according to an announcement on Thursday.
All assets in Catamaran’s portfolio are located in Massachusetts and New York.
