September 13 (Renewables Now) - Canadian builder Bird Construction Inc (TSE:BDT) said today it has won engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) jobs from Toronto-based Capstone Infrastructure Corp (TSE:CSE-A) on two wind projects in Alberta totalling 254 MW.
Capstone has contracted Bird Construction to deliver the 192-MW Wild Rose 2 wind farm in Cypress County and the 61.7-MW Buffalo Atlee wind park, located about 100 km northwest of Medicine Hat.
The announcement did not mention the value of the contracts.
In June, Capstone said that the Wild Rose 2 project company had signed a 78-MW renewable attributes purchase agreement with the City of Edmonton to supply renewable attributes for over 20 years. The USD-360-million (EUR 354.5m) project also has a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Pembina Pipeline Corporation for the offtake of 105 MW of electricity and associated renewable attributes over a period of 15 years.
