Canadian Solar delivers PV modules for 10 MW plant in Italy
Nov 30, 2011 - Canadian Solar Inc (NASDAQ:CSIQ) today said it had supplied photovoltaic (PV) modules for a 10 MW solar power plant installed by green energy systems builder Coop Cellini Impianti Tecnologici in Italy's Tuscan province.
Canadian Solar has delivered 12,465 PV modules for the ground-mounted solar power plant located on a former mining site in the city of Cavriglia. The plant includes a total of 40,000 modules and can produce enough electricity to supply 7,000 households and save 5.5 million kg of carbon dioxide emissions a year, Canadian Solar said.
The solar plant is connected to the local grid and has been operational since October.
