Connor, Clark & Lunn Infrastructure announced on Tuesday the completion of the 100-MW Grand Renewable Solar (GRS) power plant in the Canadian province of Ontario.
The infrastructure investor counts Samsung Renewable Energy Inc and Six Nations of the Grand River as its partners in the project. Canadian Solar Inc (NASDAQ:CSIQ) was the one to build the facility using own solar panels along with inverters made by SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:S92).
Construction work on the project commenced in September 2013 and was finalised on schedule, according to the press release.
The GSR power station will be able to generate enough electricity to meet the annual power consumption of more than 17,000 homes. The solar plant is located close to the 149-MW Grand Renewable Wind farm, also developed by Samsung and the Six Nations community.
