(ADPnews) - Oct 12, 2010 - Solar photovoltaic (PV) manufacturer Canadian Solar (NASDAQ:CSIQ) said yesterday it has appointed Andrew Chen chief financial officer, and confirmed its third-quarter and full-year outlook.
Chen will assume the position immediately, succeeding Arthur Chien, who will remain with the company as a special advisor to the CEO's office until the end of 2010. Before his appointment to Canadian Solar, Chen worked as CFO of Chinese high-tech chemical and specialty materials firm ShengdaTech Inc (NASDAQ:SDTH).
At the same time Canadian Solar affirmed its performance outlook, expecting shipments of 190 MW-200 MW and gross margin of 14.5%-15.5% for the third quarter of the year. For the whole year the company guides for shipments at the mid to the high end of its previous estimate of 700 MW-800 MW.
