Canadian QSolar inks exclusive distribution deal with German Enersus

Sep 7, 2012 - Canadian solar panel maker QSolar Ltd (CNSX:QSL) said Thursday it had awarded five-year exclusive distribution rights to Germany-based renewable energy equipment distributor Enersus GmbH & Co KG effective July 13, 2012.

Under the terms of the deal, which is still subject to certain conditions, Enersus will have exclusive distribution rights for all QSolar products for Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Sri Lanka, Thailand, South Sudan, Czech Republic, Maldives, Ukraine and Turkey.

By signing the agreement, Enersus committed to purchase guaranteed minimum quantities, based on a rolling three-year business plan that Enersus will update every six months with QSolar's approval. The two companies also have agreed that preset target distribution requirements will enter into force once the QSolar modules are bankable or insurable in Germany.

The distribution agreement covers all of QSolar's present and future products.
