Canadian Aurora to supply PV control systems to Hanwha Q-Cells

Oct 17, 2013 - Canadian control systems provider ACT Aurora Control Technologies (CVE:PUL) said on Wednesday it has been qualified to supply to Hanwha Q-Cells its Decima CD monitoring system for its solar cell production lines in Germany.

The system measures the diffused doping agent within a polycrystalline silicon photovoltaic (PV) wafer during the manufacturing process. The measurement and control tool enables quality enhancement and lowering of production costs.

Hanwha Q-Cells, part of Korean South Korean Hanwha Group, has tested the technology for several months before approving it for installation on its production lines. Aurora will continue cooperation with Hanwha Q-Cells in the further development of the technology and its applications, the company said.
