CAF, Japan prepare USD 300m credit line for green projects in LatAm
(ADPnews) - Nov 18, 2010 - The Andean Development Corp (CAF) plans to sign a USD 300 million (EUR 220.1m) credit line with Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) for the development of green projects in Latin America, CAF's president, Enrique Garcia, said today.
CAF is waiting for JBIC's approval and the facility will be arranged in early 2011 at the latest, Garcia projected, adding that the money will fuel mainly clean energy projects.
Garcia participates in Japan-Latin America Forum 2010: Environmental Sustainability and Industrial Policy, organised by CAF and The United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR). The three-day forum is held in Tokyo, Japan.
