(SeeNews) - Oct 22, 2013 - Brazil-based sugar and ethanol maker Tereos Internacional (SAO:TERI3), a unit of French Tereos Group, kept its projection for it processing 20 million tonnes of sugar cane in crop year 2013/14, to end on March 31, 2014, up 9.8% year-on-year, the company's investor relations director, Marcus Thieme, said.<br /> The company, which controls Brazilian sugar and ethanol producer Acucar Guarani SA, decided to keep the projection since it saw no impacts of the recent cold period.<br /> Regarding the ethanol production, Thieme said the cut of the PIS/Cofins tax on ethanol and the increase of the anhydrous ethanol blend with petrol (gasoline) to 25% from current 20%, will positively impact the company's results which will be released on November 13.
