Atlas Renewable Energy solar plant in Brazil

January 17 (Renewables Now) - Brazilian utility Light SA (BVMF:LIGT3) announced it has received confirmation that BNDES Participacoes SA (BNDESPAR) has sold all of its shares in the company.

In a notice to the market, Light said that BNDESPAR had disposed of all the 19,140,808 common shares between December 26, 2019 and January 15, 2020. The shares represent 5.96% of Light's stock, according to information on the company's website.

This transaction does not affect Light's shareholding control or management structure, BNDESPAR stated in a letter sent to Light.

Last year, the investment arm of national development bank BNDES exercised its right to sell its 5.01% stake in renewables developer Renova Energia SA (BVMF:RNEW11).
