(SeeNews) - Jan 13, 2014 - The Brazilian National Social and Economic Development Bank (BNDES) on Friday announced it disbursed a BRL-46-million (USD 19.5m/EUR 14.3m) bridge loan for the construction of a 29.1-MW wind energy park by local power firm Dobreve Energia SA (Desa).<br /> The funds will finance the Morro dos Ventos II park, to be located in northeastern Rio Grande do Norte state. The facility will cost a total BRL 128 milion and will have 18 wind turbines.<br /> The bank loan has a long-term TJLP interest rate of 2.4% per year and matures in January 2016, when the park will start operation.<br /> Desa is currently expanding its projects portfolio. At the last governmental auction for new energy, the company managed to contract the output of its 24-MW Mata Velha small-scale hydroelectric power plant (HPP) in the southeastern Minas Gerais state.<br /> (BRL 1.0 = USD 0.424/EUR 0.310)
