(SeeNews) - Nov 20, 2013 - Brazilian electricity sector watchdog Aneel yesterday ratified the results of the government's reserve auction which took place on August 23, 2013.<br /> The auction, which was exclusively for wind power projects, foresees 20-year contracts for supply starting as of September 1, 2015.<br /> Brazil sold 118.4 million MWh, or 675.5 average MW (MWa) at the reserve auction at an average price of BRL 110.5 (USD 48.5/EUR 35.8) per MWh. Contracts for power supply were signed with 66 wind power plants with a combined installed capacity of 1.505 GW.
