(SeeNews) - Nov 1, 2013 - Brazil will increase to 7% from 5% the biodiesel blend to petrol (gasoline) yet in 2013, according to sources of Brazil's ministries of Agrarian Development and Mines and Energy quoted by local business daily Valor Economico yesterday.<br /> The proposal for the introduction of a 7% blend (B7) has already been sent to the Presidency for approval and it is seen to be discussed in the next weeks together with the proposal for an increase of the fuel prices.<br /> The B7 blend will require a 40% growth of the country's biodiesel output but according to the sector it already has the needed capacity.<br /> The biodiesel blending in Brazil started on January 1, 2008 with the use of a 2% blend. The country targets to implement a 10% blend by 2015.
