Brazil Renova poised to sell 61 MWa wind power on free market in 2013
Dec 27, 2012 - The executive board of Brazilian renewable energy developer Renova Energia (SAO:RNEW11) on Friday approved a plan that envisages the sale of up to 61 average megawatts (MWa) of wind power on the free market in 2013, the company said in a regulatory filing.
Renova recently set up an energy trading arm, responsible for the commercialisation of the energy generated at the company's already operational and future power plants.
The trader subsidiary was constituted as a private limited company.
At the end of the third quarter of 2012, Renova's operational portfolio stood at 336 MW.
